Vocal Coaching
The sound of your voice is one of the first impressions you make in a room. The pitch, tone, volume, and resonance of your voice influence how people perceive you, even before you’ve finished your first sentence. This fact can be harnessed as leverage in your favor, or it can hold you back from achieving the life of your dreams.
Through applying the same somatic vocal techniques and exercises used by performing artists, the modern leader can gain familiarity and ease with their own voice, as the critical instrument they use every day to convey their ideas. You will release the physical tension trapping your natural voice from being expressed, find more ease and resonance in your voice, and learn to convey your ideas with more natural authority.
(And don’t worry, no singing is required!)
A Dual Approach - The A.R.T. Framework
If you walk into a high-stakes negotiation and your inner critic whispers, “You don’t belong here,” it won’t matter if you have a pocket full of vocal exercises. They won't work in that moment. Similarly, if you are internally confident but your voice and presence don’t convey authority, your brilliance will still be overlooked.
The goal of combining these methodologies is to rediscover your inner leader and help you express that leader externally. The goal is not to change you, or to magically invent a new voice or presence that meets the (often sexist) expectations of the outside world. Our work together is intended to draw out your inner wisdom, as well as release internal and external sticking points, so your natural authority can flow freely.
By combining a self-discovery process with key somatic & vocal exercises, this unique dual approach helps you pair a refreshed internal confidence with external vocal resonance to transform you as a leader from the inside out.
Why I Do This
I’ve spent the last 20 years exploring the human voice, through both speech and song.
As a professional vocalist and actor, I know how to use the voice to move, persuade, and connect with an audience. As a marketing leader in the B2B SaaS and financial sectors, I know the importance of showing up powerfully as a young woman in business, and how easy it is to be overlooked.
Over the years, I realized that too many women under-utilize their authentic voices. It costs us promotions, influence, and the impact we are capable of making. I created The A.R.T. of Vocal Impact™, combining the science of vocal pedagogy with the transformative power of Co-Active coaching, to bridge this gap.
Through this work, I am dedicated to helping high-achieving women reconnect with themselves, break the glass ceiling, and achieve their most ambitious goals.
